Day 1 Flight Medellín - Bahía Solano
You need to be at the Medellin airport at 6am, where the departure will be according to the airline's schedule, being most of the time early in the morning.
Our staff will be waiting at the Bahía Solano airport to transfer to Punta Ardita in one of our boats
During the trip we will have one of the most exciting activities which is whale watching where the view and experience will be memorable, being this our first marine approach in the area of Punta Ardita and Morros de Corredo.
We will be arriving at the Darién Lodge between 4pm and 5pm to check in and have a relaxing time with an incredible view from the pool and bar.
Day 2. Bird watching and Marine Safari
We will have an early breakfast at the lodge and we will hike in one of the deep areas of Punta Ardita where we will find different species of birds, reptiles, amphibians and of course, we will be surrounded by the most exuberant jungle.
The lunch will be at the Lodge and in the afternoon, we will have a marine safari between Punta Ardita and on the border with Panama
Day 3: Marine Safari in Cabo Marzo
After breakfast we will go to Cabo Marzo, and during the tour we will have the sighting of some marine species and whales that accompany us on the way.
With the possibility of seeing varieties of fish, sardines, whale sharks, among others, we will visit the Cabo Marzo natural aquarium, being this area one of the most impressive on the Pacific coast and where we will snorkel.
We will have the privilege of having lunch on one of the quiet beaches of Cabo Marzo and in the afternoon, we will go whale watching, and where we will enjoy the sunset from the boat.
If it is your preference, you can add to this day the activity of sport fishing where you will have the opportunity to find Mahi, Cubera Snapper, roosterfish, yellowfin and bigeye tuna, black marlin, sailfish, almaco jacks, snook, jacks, among others.
Day 4 Marine Safari and return to Bahía Solano
Check out of the lodge at 8.00am.
On our return we will have a tour through the open sea, where once again the whales and other species, will accompany us on the marine safari back to Bahía Solano. We will have lunch on the boat while we enjoy the experience at sea.
Arriving at the Costa Chocó hotel around 4pm, we will have the check in and reception of the rooms.
At night we will have dinner outside the hotel at the Casa Negra restaurant
Day 5 Flight back Bahía Solano - Medellín
Flight to Medellin and return home.

Commercial establishments in Colombia cannot receive USD/EUR due to exchange restrictions for locals, please make sure to have Colombian pesos when buying locally. Covid tests are not included, however, Fish Colombia’s team, can help you to set appointments if needed. Have in mind the laboratories shall take 4 hours for antigens test, or 24 hours for PCR test No cell connection on the river but sometimes guests will have access to a satellite phone if an emergency arises.
Currency: Colombian Peso. Please make sure you bring enough to settle extra expenses in town and tips. Tips can be done in Dollars, but pesos are more convenient for the staff.
All guests will be sent through tackle requirements in their pre-trip information. Wilderness camping: While we try to make the camp as comfortable as possible, guests are advised that this trip is aimed.
Cancellation by client: Notification of cancellation must be in writing and is effective as of the date it is received by Awia Lodge & Camp SAS Should a person cancel a tour and cannot find an immediate replacement: If Awia Lodge & Camp SAS has more than 180 days notice, deposit is forfeited unless dates can be resold, in which case a 10% admin fee will apply.
If Awia Lodge & Camp SAS has between 179 and 91 days notice, 70% of tour costs are forfeited, unless the client can find a replacement. In which case a 10% admin fee will apply.
If Awia Lodge & Camp SAS has less than 90 days notice, 100% of our costs are forfeited, unless the client can find a replacement in which case a 10% admin fee will apply.
If you fail to join a tour, or join after departure, or leave prior to its completion, no reimbursement whatsoever will be made.
In the event of force majeure, fortuitous event or incapacity of the holder of the reservation or a relative in the first degree of consanguinity.
The request for exoneration must be accompanied by the corresponding support (s) and submitted within 15 current days from the initial date of the trip, otherwise the established policies apply.
