   DESCRIPTION

Birdwatching in the Deep East of Colombia

The Orinoco River and its tributaries give us a vast landscape with navigable waters and a complex array of ecosystems, such as riparian forests, wetlands, and the beginning of the Amazon rainforest, intertwined with vast savannas.

One of the most beautiful places is the Maipures Rapids, which Humboldt considered the eighth wonder of the world.

With an astounding variety of bird species, the Orinoco region has richness and diversity, with the majestic scenery of the Guianean Shield and big rivers.

This remote paradise owes its allure to the abundance of plants and insects that thrive within its ecosystem, creating a haven for birdwatchers and nature lovers
